Older Adults and Persons with Disabilities (O&D) Transportation Program
Through Vermont's O&D Program, RCT is able to offer fare free transportation to fit a variety of needs.
Vermont’s Older Adults and Persons with Disabilities Program plays an important role filling gaps in existing transportation services for older adults age 60 and above as well as individuals with disabilities as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This program helps Vermonters remain independent and active within their community.
In partnership with the Central Vermont and Northeast Kingdom Council on Aging, RCT is able to coordinate travel for eligible residents to up to four medical trips and two shopping/personal trips per month. For details on eligibility see FAQ’s below.

“For years I lived in Stanstead, Quebec, right on the border with Derby Line. When we became a one-car family a few years back, getting to work at Northeast Kingdom Human Services in Derby suddenly became an issue. Wake my spouse up to drive me in early? Well, maybe…But right up the street in Derby Line, across from US Customs, is an RCT bus stop. Just a two minute walk from my house! (well, depending upon any interrogation delay at Customs). Always punctual, always friendly, driver and passengers, and right to my front door at work, also a regular stop. Thank you RCT!“
